Advantages: Our second visit – and the staff are still the stars of the show!

We don't usually return to the same hotel twice, as we love exploring new places, but after enjoying our first stay at The Mirage Resort & Spa, we decided to come back for another visit.

Once again, the absolute standout was the staff. They really do make this hotel what it is. Ali, Adnan and Muhammad, to name just a few, were fantastic. So friendly, welcoming and genuinely lovely people who go out of their way to make your holiday special. It's the people here that make you want to return.

The food this year was a little hit and miss compared to our previous visit. Some meals were lovely, while others were a bit disappointing. The cocktails were also much the same as last year – perfectly drinkable, but definitely an area where there's room for improvement.

However, the absolute highlight of our holiday was our accommodation! We had two bungalows with a shared pool, and this really made the holiday for us. Having that space and our own little pool area was just fantastic and made the whole experience feel that bit more special. Without a doubt, this was our favourite part of the stay.

Overall, we had another lovely holiday at The Mirage. There are a few areas that could do with some attention, particularly the consistency of the food and the quality of the cocktails, but the wonderful staff and our fantastic bungalow setup more than made up for it.

Would we return for a third time? We don't normally even return for a second, so never say never! 😊 Disadvantages: Cocktails need improving.

Lovely relaxing week 😎
We stayed for one week, arriving on 26th September. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by reception and invited to enjoy a welcome drink while waiting for our room. As we arrived just after 12pm, we were also offered lunch, which was a lovely touch.

We enjoyed our first drink in the Amber Lounge, and the beautiful presentation immediately set the tone for the week ahead. After approximately 40 minutes, we were informed that our bungalow was ready. We were transported there by buggy, and the friendly staff member provided useful information about the resort, including directions to the beach and other facilities.

Our bungalow (No. 803) was in a very central location within the resort. It was spacious, modern, spotless, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was excellent, with daily maid service and thoughtful touches such as towel swans and flower decorations on the bed. The only minor negative regarding the room was that, although a kettle and tea bags were provided, no coffee or milk was supplied, which would have been a welcome addition.

The all-inclusive food and drinks were both plentiful and enjoyable. As with many all-inclusive resorts, some dishes were repeated throughout the week, but there was enough variety to enjoy something different at every meal. There were various fish dishes, pasta, pizzas, traditional Tunisian casseroles with different meats and sauces, as well as a huge selection of salads, breads, cakes, ice creams, and desserts. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty.

The only other slight negative was our interaction with the excursions representative. When we explained that we were not interested in booking any trips, he appeared somewhat disgruntled and avoided eye contact for much of the remainder of our stay.

We also booked a spa package. Whilst we enjoyed the experience overall, we have experienced better elsewhere. As part of the package, I was advised that I would receive a 30-minute facial; however, it was completed in around 12 minutes, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the spa itself is beautiful, modern, exceptionally clean, bright, and smells amazing.

The resort grounds are lovely. In some areas, you can see the effects of the summer heat on the grass and landscaping, but the gardening team clearly work extremely hard to maintain such a large area.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the hardworking, polite, and cheerful staff. From the entertainment team to the housekeeping staff, everyone contributed to making our holiday enjoyable. A special mention goes to the cocktail bar staff near our favourite pool. These waiters must walk thousands of miles each day ensuring guests are looked after, both during the day and in the evening. They truly deserve recognition and appreciation.

Finally, our biggest thank you goes to "Sassi", who looked after us throughout the week at every mealtime. We were always greeted with a smile, our favourite drinks were ready, and our preferred table was waiting for us. He works incredibly hard and consistently goes above and beyond for every guest. He is a genuinely humble and kind man who made our holiday especially memorable.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the Mirage Resort & Spa to others...it was so lovely we have already re booked for April 2027.

We arrived late on Sunday and had missed the restaurant, but the fella checking us in said they could get us something to eat if we were hungry. We refused because it was late & we were knackered. But that was just a taste of the holiday to come.

The hotel is spread out with the main block containing traditional hotel rooms, reception, the main restaurant & bars, 3 nice size pools & a selection of bungalows going down towards the beach. There is also a bar/restaurant right down on the beach. We had a bungalow only a few metres from the beach.

The hotel has a lovely chilled out vibe. The staff are fabulous. And I mean fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble. Typically Tunisian.

Our room was a good stroll from the main building, but that meant it was quiet. It was a little small, with very limited storage & only 4 coat hangers. The bathroom was small & poorly lit. The room had a massive, if firm, bed & an equally massive smart TV. There are a couple of big golf buggy type vehicles who act as taxis if you need them. We were taken to our bungalow on arrival in on & picked up when it was time to leave. No struggling with suitcases!

The food was superb, with a wide variety to chose from at all 3 sittings.

The quality of the drinks was exactly what you expect in an all inclusive.

The shop onsite is rather expensive.

We only popped to the beach once. But it is large & clean.

So, onto my gripe. The WiFi.

It worked OK in the room, but lacked the bandwidth to run the massive telly for more than a few minutes. It worked OK in the public areas, (except the restaurant where it didn't work at all), and was VERY patchy around the pools. I know we don't go on holiday to bury ourselves in our gadgets, but it's the back end of 2026, everything we do is online. Our music, podcasts & audio books are all streamed. My advice would be download anything you want to listen to before you leave home.

Don't let my gripe put you off coming to this gem of a hotel. It is quite, quite lovely.
